Portable Control Panel – March 2019
## Gaming Capital and Digital Gaming Enterprise are delighted to present the March 2019 Portable Control Panel.
The Portable Control Panel is your monthly digital summary of the mobile industry, enabling you to monitor the progression of mobile devices since 2003 and forecast it until 2023.
As the graph indicates, mobile total revenue has not only increased considerably since 2003, but its portion of overall Digital Gaming revenue has also climbed rapidly, particularly over the past five years.
Forecasts show that mobile devices will account for over 52% of total Digital Gaming revenue by 2023, even though many operators are already reporting that over 50% of their revenue comes from mobile channels, especially in sports wagering. As the pie chart demonstrates, 67% of mobile revenue comes from sports wagering.
Intriguingly, while Europe accounts for the majority of global mobile revenue by region, the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions have a higher proportion of mobile revenue to their total regional revenue. This might be due to the slow development of fixed-line broadband in some countries, particularly in Asia, where many users skip desktops entirely and use mobile devices as their first internet device.
