MGM Resorts will resume operations at its Mississippi gambling houses next week.

MGM Resorts International has declared that it will restart its gambling establishments in Mississippi following their closure due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica will resume operations on May 25, while the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi will open its doors on June 1. MGM will also organize a special weekend event at each casino prior to its public opening.

All gambling houses in Mississippi have been shut down since March 16.

Under new directives from the Mississippi Gaming Commission, each casino will operate at half its usual capacity. MGM has also stated that table games and slot machines will be arranged to enable social distancing.
