The live dealer software provider, Evolution Gaming, is poised to enter the South African market after obtaining a national manufacturing permit from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board (WCGRB).
This permit will enable Evolution to introduce its own offerings, as well as those of its subsidiary, Ezugi, to authorized gambling operators within the nation.
Ezugi, which was acquired by Evolution in November 2018 for $18 million (£13.7 million/€16.3 million), has been actively engaged in the South African market for a considerable period.
Evolution also possesses licenses in the UK, Malta, Alderney, Belgium, Romania, Latvia, British Columbia in Canada, and New Jersey and Pennsylvania in the US.
“We are venturing into a truly thrilling new region, fueled by the extensive experience we have accumulated in this market through our Ezugi subsidiary,” stated Martin Carlesund, CEO of Evolution Group.
“Our industry-leading live dealer solutions, alongside novel live event betting solutions, are accessible not only on desktop, tablet, and smartphone devices but also in retail betting establishments.”
Kfir Kugler, the head and chief executive officer of Ezugis, stated, “The controlled South African market presents a significant opportunity for providing Evolution’s live dealer games and fixed odds solutions. This will grant players access to the globe’s most engaging live casino and live game show experiences, along with thrilling new wagering options.”
Earlier in the week, Groupe Partouche, a French land-based casino operator, joined forces with Evolution Gaming to introduce a new online casino service in Switzerland.
The gambling establishment, scheduled to debut in the first half of 2020, will enable patrons to participate in games on mobile devices, tablets, and personal computers.
