Caesars Entertainment and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians are introducing mobile sports wagering to North Carolina. This alliance expands their current pact after the state’s authorization of sports betting. They intend to debut their service on March 11th, immediately after it becomes permissible in the state.
The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians already possesses the permit for mobile sports wagering, and this collaboration will allow individuals in North Carolina to utilize the Caesars Sportsbook application. Nevertheless, the service still requires final consent from regulatory bodies.
North Carolina has been preparing for sports betting since it was ratified last November, although the enthusiasm dwindled somewhat when it became apparent the launch would be after the Super Bowl.
Even though sports betting won’t be operational until March 11th, residents of North Carolina can get a jump start by pre-enrolling and adding funds through the Caesars Sportsbook app starting March 1st.
This partnership amplifies the existing connection between the two groups, which already encompasses Caesars Sportsbook venues at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel.
The gaming giant, Caesars Entertainment, has obtained sole rights to manage mobile sports wagering in a portion of western North Carolina, specifically within the lands of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. This agreement broadens their current collaboration, also granting Caesars the ability to provide mobile sports betting services at the tribe’s pair of casinos situated in the area.
Caesars Digital President, Eric Hession, highlighted the enduring alliance with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, spanning more than twenty years. He conveyed eagerness to expand upon their fruitful partnership by delivering a streamlined and top-tier sports betting platform for their patrons, enhancing the existing in-person sportsbooks.
Echoing this perspective, Principal Chief Richard Sneed of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians expressed the tribe’s enthusiasm for the strengthened collaboration and the opportunities it presents for their community’s progress.
