Amidst a significant restructuring, Crown Resorts has revealed two pivotal leadership changes. Craig Durham will assume the roles of Group Corporate Secretary and Crown Legal Advisor, while Anne Ward joins the board as an autonomous non-executive member.
Durham, a seasoned expert with a background spanning Australia and the United States, is slated to formally take charge on October 4th, 2021, subject to regulatory clearance. In the interim, Alan McGregor will maintain his position as temporary Corporate Secretary. Jane Halton, Crown’s Interim Chair, conveyed her assurance in Durham’s proficiency in ASX-listed company affairs, legal matters, and corporate governance.
Based in Melbourne, Ward contributes a wealth of knowledge from her diverse board and leadership positions. She presently presides over two ASX-listed entities, Redbubble and MNF Group, and holds a council seat at RMIT University. Her appointment, effective immediately upon securing the required regulatory approval, further bolsters the board’s capabilities as they steer through a phase of transformation, as per Halton.
Ward’s notable credentials showcase expertise across a spectrum of industries, encompassing financial services, technology, healthcare, government, education, and tourism. Her addition is regarded as a valuable asset to the board.
She earned degrees in law and humanities from the University of Melbourne and belongs to the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
